Transcendental magma (2012)

igneous rocks, metal

1.70H x 20W x 20D cm

Raw geological matter is set against linear metallic stuctures, juxtaposing elemental solidity with fragile extension. An igneous rock born of molten magma cooled and solidified over vast geological timescales, is encased and threaded by wire, from which a tenuous vertical structure rises upward.

The composition suggests an energy suspended between weight and ascent, containment and release. The rock anchors the memory of volcanic force and earth’s interior depths, while the wire traces a spiral transcendental reach, evoking the invisible trajectories of thought, spirit, or vibration.

Emerging as both material study and symbolic gesture the work meditates on grounding and elevation; primal processes and metaphysical realms where matter itself becomes a vessel for transformation.
